Stephanie Alaniz was born and raised in South Texas. Stephanie has been addicted to creating since she was able to hold a pencil as a small child. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2016 from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with an emphasis in Printmaking. This spring she completed her Master of Fine Arts from West Virginia University.

Stephanie’s current work explores insecurities with a mission of normalizing physically stigmatized features of our body. She has exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions, and her work has been included in a number of portfolio exchanges over the last six years. She has attended Frogman's Printmaking Workshop for the last five years, three of which she assisted faculty, and one year as an archiving assistant. Stephanie is an active member of several printmaking organizations including Pittsburgh Print Group, SGC International, and the Mid America Print Council.
